A Long West Coast Trip

The Boston Bruins began their west coast trip last night with the Anaheim Ducks and tonight on December 2 head to LA to face the defending Stanley Cup Champions the Los Angeles Kings. This will be a great battle tonight as two of the best teams in the league last year face off. The Boston Bruins are starting to gain back some of their injured players including Captain Zdeno Chara who has been skating at practice (knee). It will be a huge relief to have their leader and big man of defense back in the line up.

Slava Voynov, a defenseman on the Kings is being charged with domestic violence, and the team is being fined $100,000 for violating the terms of his suspension. Voynov is not  allowed to participate in any team related functions or activities but was allowed to use facilities and work with the team personnel. The LA Kings coach Darrly Sutter said that it was an optional team skate and he was suppose to come out after with the injured players but many members of the media did not agree. Voynov pleaded not guilty on corporal injury to his spouse but will appear in court on December 15, for his preliminary hearing.
